Romney's new Republican playlist

Some artists may be more suitable for the GoP than Thin Lizzy

The mother of Thin Lizzy's Phil Lynott has rebuked the Republicans for using The Boys are Back in Town at last week's convention. Here are some more fitting songs that Romney could use to crowdsurf his way to the White House.

The Killers

Blasting out Brandon Flowers's band (making Mormonism cool since 2003), could help to normalise Romney's beliefs for voters.

Megadeth

Openly Republican, who better to add weight to the campaign than everyone's seventh favourite thrash metal band?

Nicki Minaj

"I'm a Republican voting for Mitt Romney/You lazy bitches are fucking up the economy," muses Minaj (right) on Mercy, surely an anthem for the party.

Ted Nugent

The guitarist made a thought-provoking point at the convention when he called for action against the Obama administration, encouraging Republicans to "ride into the battlefield and chop their heads off."
