UK strike calendar – service stoppages planned for March and April

All the dates for strikes and stoppages across health, transport and education networks

The wave of strike action continues to sweep the UK, threatening to bring the country to a standstill as workers across the transport network, NHS and civil service take industrial action in rows over pay and conditions.

Below are the main public service strikes planned for the coming months. Use the arrows in the top right to change the month.

Monday 13 March

• Junior doctors in England represented by the British Medical Association (BMA) stage a 72-hour strike.

• Hospital dental trainees in England represented by the British Dental Association (BDA) begin a 72-hour strike at a number of trusts.

• Junior doctor members of the Hospital Consultants and Specialists Association (HCSA) in England begin a 72-hour strike.

Tuesday 14 March

• Junior doctors in England represented by the BMA continue strike action.

• Hospital dental trainees in England represented by the BDA continue to strike at a number of trusts across England.

• HCSA junior doctor members in England continue to strike.

Wednesday 15 March

• Teachers represented by the NEU begin a second round of strike action in England and Wales.

• Junior doctors in England represented by the BMA continue strike action.

• London Underground drivers represented by the Aslef union strike over pensions and working arrangements.

• Thousands of public sector workers represented by Prospect union take strike action.

• Hospital dental trainees represented by the BDA continue to strike at a number of trusts across England.

• HCSA junior doctor members in England continue to strike.

Thursday 16 March

• Teachers represented by the NEU continue strike action in England and Wales.

• University staff at more than 150 universities across the UK continue strike action.

• RMT union members from 14 train operators strike after rejecting pay offers from train operators and Network Rail.

Friday 17 March

• University staff at more than 150 universities across the UK continue strike action.

Saturday 18 March

• RMT union members from 14 train operators continue strike action.

Monday 20 March

• Ambulance workers in the West Midlands, East Midlands, North East, North West and Wales ambulance services continue strike action.

• University staff at more than 150 universities across the UK continue strike action.

Tuesday 21 March

• University staff at more than 150 universities across the UK continue strike action.

Wednesday 22 March

• University staff at more than 150 universities across the UK continue strike action.

Thursday 30 March

• RMT union members from 14 train operators continue strike action.

Saturday 1 April

• RMT union members from 14 train operators continue strike action.

Tuesday 11 April

• Junior doctors in England represented by the BMA continue strike action.

Wednesday 12 April

• Junior doctors in England represented by the BMA continue strike action.
