Britney Spears, 18, appeared in TV commercials as a child. At 11, she joined Disney's Mickey Mouse Club, and three years later began a pop career. In 1998, she was the first female artist to have a simultaneous Billboard Number 1 single and album with a debut release. In the UK, Baby One More Time was the fastest selling debut single in history. Spears was recently named best rock or pop newcomer at the US Music Awards.
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Finding a true soul-mate.

What is your greatest fear?
Not being able to find a true soul mate.

Which living person do you most admire?
My mom, because she's loved me unconditionally.

What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
I worry too much.

What do you most dislike about your appearance?
My fingernails - I bite them terribly.

What is your most unappealing habit?
Biting my fingernails.

What is your favourite word?

What objects do you always carry with you?
A prayer book.

What makes you depressed?
When I hear about bad things happening to children.

What is your favourite journey?
I believe the journey I'm on now will be my favourite.

What is your favourite book?
The Bible.

Which living person do you most despise?
I try to find good in all people and try not to despise anyone.

For what cause would you die?
My beliefs.

What is your greatest regret?
None at this moment - thankfully.

How do you relax?
I light candles, put on a great CD and take a bubble-bath

What single thing would improve the quality of your life?
The promise of continued good health.

What would your motto be?
Always smile.

What keeps you awake at night?
Missing my family.

Do you believe in life after death?

How would you like to be remembered?
As someone whose music touched many lives.

What is the most important lesson life has taught you?
Be true to yourself.
