Last night was a rather big one for Aidan Moffat. He threw a Twitter party so that fans could hear tracks from his new collaborative album with Bill Wells ... and this morning he’s got the hangover to show for it.

Thankfully, we have the perfect painkiller in the form of this full album stream. The follow up to 2011’s acclaimed Everything’s Getting Older, The Most Important Place In The World is billed as “a salute to the city and the secrets she hides; it’s ticking clocks and dirty dishes; it’s raising the devil on old equipment. It’s about the life we want versus the life we need – and deciding which is which.”
Moffat’s spoken word lyrics remain full of dark humour, and this time they’re decorated with buzzing electro-pop and jazzy bursts of brass. Have a listen to the stream below and let us know your thoughts.
