Milan’s art-trance artisan and Presto!? label head empties the contents of his psychic record bag

The track I’ll be opening my next DJ set with
Lil B: Everything

The title of this track describes exactly how I feel when I play one of my rare DJ sets. I want everything.

The track I always play to rescue a dancefloor
Errorsmith: A1 Untitled

I’m a big fan of Errorsmith and this track is so good I can’t even describe it. It has this super dry feeling that cleans up everything you played before. Fresh breeze!!!

The track I’d play to show off my eclectic tastes
Rustie: 4eva

Rustie is a total genius to me. I did an edit of this track just looping the most epic part I’d ripped off YouTube, but I think a version of it is going be out on his new record very soon.

The track that got me out of bed this morning
Future: My Savages

Last night [hanging out] with friends was great and when I woke up this morning, I played this 20 times and never got bored. Perfect to play back to your friends’ funny photos.

The track I wish I’d never played
Galaxie 500: Strange

I’ve tried, it didn’t work.

The track I’d play at my auntie’s wedding
Underworld: Born Slippy

I bet she knows this track and she would rave to it. I love the first bit, with only synths and vocals.

The best track by my favourite new artist
Theo Burt: Gloss, Pt 2

I run a label named Presto!? and this was the last release we put out. I really think it is a masterpiece.

The ideal festival track
Rexanthony: Capturing Matrix (Hystorical Version)

Rexanthony was a super-talented producer from my home town. It sounds a bit dated now, but I’ve got versions that are really amazing and if edited in a more, let’s say “contemporary” way, it is really a magnificent anthem.

The track I’d play at sunset in Ibiza
Unreal: After Hours

I love that continuous crescendo and, when the melody comes in around two minutes in, it’s like floating in pink and orange clouds. I have loads of this stuff in my Discogs wish-list.

The track I’d play at my funeral
FUSE: Nitedrive

Richie Hawtin, this time under his FUSE moniker. I find it beautiful and dramatic in its simplicity. I’m so in love with that restrained euphoria aftertaste.

Lorenzo Senni plays Trance Party IV: The Great British Trance Off, Kazimier Garden, Liverpool, Thursday; Corsica Studios, SE17, Friday; touring to 31 October
