If you’ve ever wondered what it’d be like to follow the Cribs around on tour but were a little too lazy to loiter outside their Holiday Inn, you’re in luck. The video for their latest single, Different Angle, features footage collated by the band, shot at home and on the road in the US on a VHS camera. It was edited by the Cribs’ new friend Andy Sonnefeld of Julian Casablancas and the Voidz, and is the latest track to be taken from their current album For All My Sisters.
“It was one of those that came out spontaneously, yet seems like a classic Cribs-y sounding riff,” says Ryan. “The song went through a couple of different incarnations before this one with different verses Lyrically, it seems to be about the first night I spent hanging out with my girlfriend, and how we both felt like black sheep, for different reasons.”
