Last week, Mark Beaumont reviewed Pixies at the Roundhouse in London for the Guardian, and it would be fair to say he was impressed. "Piffle," he said to those who doubted it could be Pixies without Kim Deal. "There's no denying Pixies' superlative live impact. Deal or no Deal."
Maybe your interest was piqued. Or maybe you don't believe him. Either way, you can now make your own mind up, because we're delighted to bring you – in assocation with music streaming service Deezer – this live stream of the opening show of Pixies' 2013/14 world tour, live here from 8pm on Monday 30 September. "After 'warming up' with a handful of club shows, we're ready to officially start this tour in Paris," said Black Francis. "We've got a whole long list of songs from our entire career, many we've never played live before, as well as the favorites and some of the brand new songs, and we're really excited to be performing them for our European fans."
Sounds good? Course it does.
And to get you in the mood, we've got a couple of Pixies streams for you. Here's their new EP, entitled EP1, and here's the summer single Bagboy.
