Justin Bieber hires Kanye West and Drake for next album

Following the release of his Christmas album next week, the teen idol plans to work with two of the world's biggest rappers

For his next album, Justin Bieber is hiring the big guns – or at least some adults. Following the release of next week's Christmas album, Under the Mistletoe, the pint-size pop star will go back to preparing an LP with Kanye West and Drake.

About two years after his debut, My World 2.0, Bieber plans to issue the follow-up – and he's not just upgrading the version number. The LP will be called Believe, he told MTV News, and is due "very soon". After working with Busta Rhymes and Mariah Carey on Under the Mistletoe, he said he is thrilled to have enlisted Drake and West. "[Kanye's] such a cool guy," Bieber raved last year. "He's just a nice person."

Bieber has already claimed he wants to produce some of the new record himself, working on his laptop. But his manager said this week that the 17-year-old plans to write "a lot" of his own songs. "He's pretty adamant," Scooter Braun told Billboard. "He wrote this amazing song that sounds like a Jodeci record. I'm really excited for him. This kid can sing his ass off. He's coming into his own."
