Filling the gap for those who fancy a proper night 'up west' in true, naff-splattered, 80s-style, Yacht Rock is stuffed to the gills with power ballads and tunes that normally only see the light of day at wedding discos after the DJ has sunk too many port and lemonades. With a setlist that proudly boasts the likes of ELO, Toto, Womack & Womack, Sade, Hall & Oates and Genesis, expect no barrier of taste or decency to be left standing by the end of the night. Just roll up your blazer sleeves, spray your hair up to maximum volume and go with it. If you want to make a full, tawdry night of it - or you're just too terrified to wear your sailor's outfit to a normal pub - there's a pre-party from 7pm at The Captain's Cabin on Norris Street, where the king and queen of smooth rock will be decided upon and granted free entry to The Pigalle.
