Guardian shuffles diarists ahead of Berliner

Diarists at the Guardian have been switched round in preparation for the newspaper's Berliner launch.

Deputy diary editor Simon Goodley is to write a new daily People column when the paper relaunches in a mid-size format next Monday.

Current diarist Marina Hyde is switching to writing columns in G2, Sport and a new Saturday section.

The deputy literary editor, Giles Foden, will take over writing the diary, which will appear on the Comment pages.
