What to look out for
The January transfer window is under way with many clubs around Europe trying to give their squads fresh impetus. In the Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund have already signed the Norwegian teenage sensation Erling Braut Haaland while in Serie A in Italy, Juventus have paid £30m for the Swedish attacking midfielder Dejan Kulusevski.
In England, Tottenham’s José Mourinho looks set to lose Christian Eriksen to Inter Milan and will want to reinforce his squad, perhaps with a move for Steven Bergwijn from PSV Eindhoven. Across town, Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta needs defensive cover after an injury to Calum Chambers, while Brighton & Hove Albion have already sealed a £5m deal for Aaron Mooy from Huddersfield.
The clubs in Spain’s La Liga and France’s Ligue 1 will also be on the lookout for smart investments whether it is at the top with Barcelona and Real Madrid or PSG and Marseille fighting for the title, or those clubs battling to avoid relegation. Toulouse, 20th in Ligue 1, have already snapped up Ruben Gabrielsen from Molde to try to improve a leaky defence.
Thomas Lemar, Gabriel Barbosa, Moussa Dembélé and Dani Olmo are other names who could be on the move this month so make sure you keep up to date with all the transfers in the Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga and Ligue 1 on our transfer interactive.
