With over 600,000 YouTube subscribers and millions of views, The Other Favorites come to Indianapolis in support of their new album, Unamericana. The Other Favorites are an indie folk duo based in Brooklyn, New York, that consists of Joshua Lee Turner (Butler ?15) and Carson McKee. A shared love of traditional bluegrass, folk, and classic rock music underpins their songwriting, which is distinguished by virtuosic guitar work, incisive lyricism, and tight vocal harmony. With Unamericana, The Other Favorites explore a complicated relationship with the American identity, from recent political turmoil to mental health and childhood memory. After meeting at their 8th grade talent show, Turner and McKee began performing together in their former hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina. They self-released their first full-length album, Novelty, in 2011, followed by Naysayer in 2018, and Live in London in 2019. Unamericana will be released on November 19th, 2021.
