Please Note This event is 13 and over. There is NO SMOKING allowed anywhere inside the building, and there are NO PETS ALLOWED at anytime. *Legitimate Service Dogs must be wearing full credentials at all times upon entry, and owner must have licensing papers available upon staff request for service dogs. John Rankin Trio John Rankin is a accomplished New Orleans musician and performer. He has been described as a New Orleans hybrid of Leo Kottke and Chet Atkins, but his expansive style covers many genres. A versatile master of solo acoustic guitar, he blends New Orleans feel and charm with originals, jazz, classical guitar, folk, blues, rhythm and blues, and the American songbook.He is also known as a powerful singer/songwriter with a wide array of songs, vocal and instrumental, that reflect his broad approach. His harmonica playing, in sync with his guitar, adds a real impact to his songs and stories.He has been a featured performer at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival since 1981. Although best known as a soloist, he performs with many ensembles, including the New Orleans Guitar Masters, the NOLA String Kings, and The Classic Jazz Trio. He was named a Jazz All-Star by New Orleans Magazine in 2007, and won two Big Easy Awards for Best Folk Music (1992 and 2002). He also was a winner of the 1985 American Finger-Style Guitar Festival. Tonight, he presents the John Rankin Trio, featuring: John Rankin - guitar, vocals Tom Fischer - clarinet, saxophone Ed Wise - bass Shows at 8pm & 10pm. Doors at 7:00pm & 9:30pm. Restuarant is Open 5pm - 10pm for dinner before or after your showtime:Advance Ticket Holders can now automatically make dinner table reservations for the Dining Room online via OpenTable.com !Advance Ticket-Holders can also make table reservations for dinner by Emailing info@snugjazz.com after your tickets have been purchased online. All dinner table reservations must be attached to advance concert tickets. Dinner Service without Advance Concert Tickets is first-come, first-served based on availability upon arrival.Full Bar is Open 5pm - Midnight for all, on show nights, with or without tickets.Kind Reminder: Snug Harbor does NOT serve food inside the Music Room. In order to preserve the integrity, quiet and focus of our world class intimate concerts, only cocktails and soft drinks are available for table service inside the Music Room.However, we encourage you to arrive at least 90 Minutes prior to your showtime in order to enjoy full, relaxing dinner service in the Dining Room right next door, before getting seated in the Music Room for the show.
